Like this evolving series, each one has had interesting nuances in foreground, subject, setting, color, and form. Fun and interesting to tune my eye through the works. Reminded me of stepping outside of SF Momo onto a balcony after a couple of hours viewing the exhibits, and viewing the rooftops of adjacent buildings with cooling units, water towers etc all set against a crystal blue sky. Saw it all anew. Perceptual rewiring!
Thanks Tom. A big influence on my recent landscapes is Alex Katz’s Sunny (https://www.1000museums.com/art_works/alex-katz-sunny-4). We have a poster of it hanging at home. You’ll see the obvious influence in Katz’s treatment of grass, dog fur, etc.
