Last night was “long pose” life drawing at John Taft’s studio.
The model was my neighbor and friend Tony Umile, who had been asked by John to model. He had not modeled before.
I’ve done drawings of Tony before. Here’s one of him attending an art event in Longmont.

I recognized my dear friend right away…also Ron Gallegos!
He doesn’t look happy to be posing, though.

A belated happy birthday to you.
In the drawing with Ron, I worked from a candid snapshot, so I happened to catch Tony off guard. I’m sure he was his usual jolly self the evening of the photo.
