Mercy

A graphic design based on an old drawing I did of Ming the Merciless, from the Flash Gordon serials of the 1930s.

I was a huge fan of the re-runs of Flash Gordon, shown every Sunday morning in Chicago.

I scanned the drawing, cleaned up the background, then processed in Illustrator to get the Mercy graphic.
