Back In The Saddle

It’s been a long time between posts.  Between graphic design work, visitors and vacations, I haven’t had time to pick up pencil or brush.

That changed yesterday.  I had the opportunity to bring pad and pencils to Dr. Peter Schmid’s studio, where he invites other artists to join him with models to scupt and draw.

It was delightful to draw there.  The lighting and atmosphere were excellent, and the company of 4 other artists was stimulating.

Now I’m inspired to go to my studio and get going on my next painting.  Of course, I have to decide a direction (still life, portrait?).

  1. Wonderful to see you back at some artwork. This is a lovely figure drawing…like it very much! Nothing like a bit of life drawing to prime the engines…fun to see what you do next. Wishing you inspiration.

  2. Seems hard to capture the essence of a womans beauty in a drawin g, but you did. The curve of her hip and back take the viewer to her facial expression. You can almost feel her thinking. Amazing!
