War paint

I went to the studio today without an idea of what to work on.  Luckily, an idea presented itself to me.

I had left a couple of pop tarts set up on the still life stage, and the oils from the PT created circular grease spots on the background paper.  I had fortunately used gray paper, I would not have noticed the effect on a black backdrop.

Rearranging the pear and tarts and stone, this is what I came up with.
