I’m a guitar player.  And I have a modest guitar collection.  The guitar in the drawing above isn’t mine, it’s my son Fred’s.

He hadn’t been playing it, so I took it to my studio to replace the Epiphone Les Paul Jr copy I’d had there.  It’s made in Indonesia, and the body is coated in a white epoxy finish.  It’s very playable, and proof that foreign made guitars should be accorded more respect.

The wooden bird nest was wasting away in the corner of my yard.  Brought to my studio, serendipity struck when I realized they were both wooden boxes with holes . . .
