Another colored pencil sketch based on the soap bars and creature. I thought playing with these elements might yield more results.
It’s a challenge to get the values dark enough using the Mongol watercolor pencils I prefer, and I have to watch out that I don’t over do it and it turns into mud.

I like this sketch a lot. The tension of the stacking and the shifting sense of left to right, back to front brought out by the shadows…

It’s a challenge to balance the load . . . often a setup will collapse before I can grab my camera and shoot.
Have you thought of rotating the bars a bit?
Regardless, I like what you have going on.
I think that “DeeDub” would be a good name for the creature….

I have done some setups where the soap bars are rotated, and will do a drawing from one of those pics soon.
