Here’s a sketch of The Shangri-Las, a famous girl group of the early 60s. They are most famous for ‘Leader of the Pack’, but did many classic girl group records, such as ‘Remember’, ‘Out in the Streets’, and ‘Past, Present and Future’.
They recorded for Red Bird records, an iconic label founded by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, famous songwriters and producers who wrote songs for Elvis, the Coasters, and Peggy Lee, to name a few.
