Here’s a sketch of Ron Gallegos and Tony Umile, from a photo I took Friday night at the Latin Dance Party at the Firehouse Art Center.
I’ve been thinking I would like to do compositions with figures in a context, as opposed to the portraits I’ve been doing that are solely on one person with no clear context. So I need to carry my camera with me more often to try and capture folks in social interaction. In this case, Ron and Tony being wallflowers, watching the dance action.
