Little Sister

Back to my studio this afternoon to re-paint the too-blue background.  I used indigo, naples yellow light, gray and white to create a more subdued cool blue.  I’m getting the result I was searching for.  I think I can call this finished, apart from varnishing and signing.

Painting over and over the background, I built up an interesting texture.  I tried to keep paint effects, and not go too glossy and polished.
