My Way or Safeway?



I put more paint on this thing yesterday.  Darkened the foreground, worked the shadows, re-painted stalks, redid ribbon, and began pondering the roses.  Lost the glass effect of vase, but will work back to that.

So far, the background and supporting elements have been the focus of my work.  Now it’s time to try to bring the roses up to the state of the rest of the painting.
